If you demand a precision,

look no further!
Our mighty little OMC140 OTA has been voted winner in a group test of Catadioptric Scopes in Sky at Night Magazine.
Some questions put to an owner of both OMC140 and OMC200 Telescopes |
|
Q |
How do you find collimating the OMC140 and OMC200? |
A |
I haven't had to collimate either since buying them since each time I've checked they have held collimation. |
Q |
Are both telescopes quick to set up and use? |
A |
Yes but both take an hour or more to cool properly being maks. |
Q |
Are you a visual or photography astronomer? |
A |
Both but with these scopes visual. I have done some Jupiter imaging through the OMC 200 and am really pleased with this. |
Q |
Are you pleased with the OMC140 and OMC200 if so why? |
A |
I like the quality of both instruments. The OMC 200 is the real gem and when properly cooled the optics are outstanding for the use they are intended. It is obviously quite a specialised scope At f20 and is really a planetary scope. In this context it matches or betters any other scope I've used. |
Q |
Over all what are your impressions of the optical quality of the OMC140 and OMC200 |
A |
Both outstanding. |
Q |
Would you recommend both telescopes? |
A |
I would because of the optics. |
Q |
Would you like to say anything that has not been covered in the above questions. |
A |
Overall I'm very happy with the scopes |
